Let us begin
In the previous no-code course, you learned how to use AI tools for everyday work.
This course goes one level deeper.
Here, we are not only asking:
> What can AI help me do?
We are asking:
> How do I design the request and workflow so the result is more useful, safer, and easier to review?
That is the heart of this course.
Prompting is not just wording
Many people think prompting means finding the perfect sentence.
They search for a prompt, copy it, paste it into an AI tool, and hope the answer will be good.
Sometimes that works for a simple task. But for real work, it often fails.
Why?
Because the AI tool does not only need nice wording. It needs to know the work.
It needs to know:
- what the task is;
- who the output is for;
- what information is safe to use;
- what the output should look like;
- what rules or limits matter;
- how the answer will be checked;
- who makes the final decision.
This is why we call the course Prompting and AI Workflow Design.
What you will learn
You will learn how to design prompts and workflows for repeated tasks.
You will practise:
- turning vague requests into task briefs;
- giving useful context without oversharing;
- choosing output formats;
- using examples and constraints carefully;
- asking follow-up questions;
- reviewing output with a simple rubric;
- building reusable prompt patterns;
- adding human review gates and stop conditions.
The goal is not to memorise hundreds of prompts.
The goal is to understand how to make your own prompts better.
A simple example
A vague request is:
> Help me with this report.
This is too broad.
A better task brief is:
> Help me create a one-page outline for a monthly project update. The audience is my manager. The purpose is to show progress, risks, and next steps. Use three sections: progress, risks, next actions. Do not invent numbers. If details are missing, list questions first.
Notice what changed.
The second request gives:
- task;
- audience;
- purpose;
- format;
- constraint;
- review protection.
It is not longer because we want to sound impressive. It is longer because the work is clearer.
What this course will not do
This course will not give you a secret prompt that works for everything.
It will not teach tricks to bypass rules or safety systems.
It will not say that AI output is automatically correct.
It will not ask you to share private, confidential, legal, medical, financial, student, employee, customer, authentication, or security-sensitive information.
Your first reflection
Write one task where you have used, or might use, an AI tool.
Then answer:
- What was the task?
- Who was the output for?
- What did the AI tool need to know?
- What could go wrong if the output was weak?
Keep this reflection. You will use the same thinking in the module activity.
