Module 06 Activity

Purpose

Two specific improvements to one prompt, measured. The point is to find out which of the two closed the gap, because that is what transfers to the next prompt.

Steps

1. Choose a prompt whose output you always edit in the same way. That repeated edit is the target.
2. Add exactly one example, with a line saying what to match and what to ignore.
3. Write a five-criterion rubric with weak, acceptable and strong levels.
4. Run three versions: original, plus example, plus example and rubric.
5. Score all three against the rubric.
6. Decide which addition did the work, and whether the repeated edit is gone.

Evidence to hand in

• The repeated edit, described.
• The example, with the match-this-not-that line.
• The rubric.
• Three outputs with scores.
• A one-line conclusion on which addition helped.

Review checklist

• The example carries an instruction about what not to copy.
• The rubric has three levels per criterion, not a score out of ten.
• All three versions were scored against the same rubric.
• If neither addition helped, the missing constraint has been identified instead.
