What this module established

An example is worth a paragraph of description and is also a constraint you did not intend to write. Say what to match and what to ignore, or everything about it becomes an instruction.

Carry forward

• A bad example teaches more than a good one, provided it is paired with the corrected version and a one-line reason.
• Three kinds of constraint: include, avoid, and preserve exactly. The third is the one people miss, and it is what stops caveats softening on revision.
• A rubric is success criteria with levels. It works before generation and after it, which is why it repays writing.
• Give every unusual rule a reason note, or a later reader cannot tell which lines are safe to change.

Before moving on

Move on when one of your saved prompts carries an example, a rubric, and a reason note on every rule you could not immediately justify.
