Module 07 Activity
Activity ID: PAW-M07-A01 Estimated active time: 35-45 minutes
Purpose
Deliberate practice at the repair loop, one problem at a time. The honest question at the end is whether a better first prompt would have been faster.
Steps
- Start from a genuinely weak output. Do not fix the first prompt.
- Triage the problems into wrong facts, wrong shape, and wrong judgement.
- Fix facts first, then shape, then judgement — one follow-up each.
- Record what each follow-up changed.
- Time the whole repair.
- Decide what would have gone into a better first prompt.
Evidence to hand in
- The original request and its output.
- The triage.
- Three follow-ups with what each changed.
- The total time, and the answer to the faster-first-prompt question.
- The lines you would promote into the saved prompt.
Review checklist
- Each follow-up named what was wrong, not what you wanted.
- Only one thing was fixed per follow-up.
- Facts were fixed before shape.
- The promoted lines have been added to the saved prompt.
