Module 08 Activity

Purpose

Scoring two outputs against one rubric, blind if possible. Identifying what in the prompt was responsible is the part that transfers.

Steps

1. Produce two outputs for one task, from two different prompts.
2. Have someone label them A and B without telling you which is which.
3. Score both against the same five criteria.
4. Assign each a decision: keep, edit, verify, ask again, or reject.
5. Time how long each took to review.
6. Identify what in the better prompt was responsible, running a third version if you cannot tell.

Evidence to hand in

• Both outputs, labelled.
• Two scored sheets.
• A decision for each.
• The identified prompt element, and how you established it.

Review checklist

• Both were scored against criteria written before the outputs.
• Each ends in one of the five named decisions.
• Review time was measured, not estimated.
• The responsible prompt element was identified by changing one thing.
