What you are producing

Three patterns of your own, in the standard shape, covering the tasks you actually repeat.

Start from your real work

Go back to the list of frequent tasks from unit 09.00.

Take the three most frequent. Do not choose the most interesting — choose the ones you do most, because that is where a pattern pays back.

Adapt rather than invent

Each of your three probably sits close to one of the four families.

Start from that pattern and change the slots and fixed rules to match your work. Inventing from scratch takes longer and produces something less complete.

For each pattern, the file holds:
   slots | fixed rules | output spec | review level | known failure
   reason notes on any unusual rule
   retire-when condition

Test each one twice

Run each pattern on two different instances of its task.

If the second run needed a change, the pattern was written for one instance rather than for the family. Generalise it and note what changed.
