# Capstone package Read [Module 10](../lessons/10-capstone-and-release-decision.md) for the complete brief, deliverables, grading rubric and defense questions. [The separate explanation](../solutions/10-capstone-and-release-decision-solutions.md) explains the reference and limits. `starter.py` is an intentionally incomplete learner exercise. Implement `build_evidence` before checking it. `reference.py` executes a complete local reference using the supplied synthetic controller. `check_submission.py` is a formative structure/invariant check, not a platform grader. The required added case must produce a supported comparison with a valid integer year and then receive a valid synthetic rejection. Its report supplies observed year, catalogue year, finding and REJECTED phase. Additional invalid-input or expiry cases are welcome but do not replace that required artifact. From the course folder: ```sh PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=1 python3 capstone/check_submission.py --module reference PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=1 python3 capstone/reference.py ``` To check your implemented exercise, use `--module starter`. The untouched scaffold intentionally raises NotImplementedError when its evidence function is called. No real messages, accounts, sources, changes, model calls or production actions are part of this capstone.
