Assessment 1 Meaningful HTML

After module 03. Provisional time: 30–45 minutes.

Six questions, five points each. Attempt without opening the answer guide. You may inspect your own files and run tests. Save your answers in a local text file or learning log. Do not submit real information or publish a site.

  1. A community page uses large bold paragraphs for every title. Propose a heading structure for the page title, Events section, and three individual event titles. Explain the benefit beyond appearance.
  2. A page at pages/about.html must link to index.html in its parent folder. Write the anchor and explain each part of the relative path.
  3. A garden photograph communicates an entrance route; a leaf icon beside the visible site name is decorative. Describe appropriate text alternatives and where a longer route description could go.
  4. A form label has for="contact", while the input has id="email". Repair it. Explain why a placeholder alone would not fix the association.
  5. A learner enters alex@example.com, passes native email validation, and says the address is verified. Evaluate that claim.
  6. In your project, demonstrate one unique event id, one working fragment link, and a valid synthetic form submission. Record the destination and whether typed field values appear there.

Use the learner guide’s 2 + 2 + 1 scoring convention. Suggested readiness is 24/30 with no critical form-data or accessibility misunderstanding. Open the separate answer guide after attempting.
