Return to the lesson. Work in a copy of your project; attempt these before opening solutions.

1. Make a shared style. Add class="event-card" to all three articles and give them a pale background. Change it once and confirm all three respond.
2. Predict a conflict. Given p {color: navy}, .hint {color: maroon}, then p {color: green}, predict the color of <p class="hint">. Explain under the course’s simplified cascade conditions.
3. Inheritance experiment. Temporarily add body { color: #173c35; border: 2px solid #173c35; }. The border declaration specifies thickness, line style, and color; module 05 explains its space. Predict which appears on a plain paragraph automatically. Inspect it, then make the paragraph’s color explicit and explain the difference.

Record a prediction and an observed result for each task. Remove temporary experimental rules before continuing.
