Templates for writing, summary, research, and planning
Unit ID: AIT-M10-U02 Estimated active time: 15-20 minutes
The main idea
Different repeated tasks need different templates.
The four families fail differently, so their safety rules differ. One template cannot carry all four sets of rules without becoming unusable.
Why this matters
Using the wrong template is worse than using none, because it applies the wrong checks confidently. A writing template will not ask where a claim came from.
Safe example
A research template asks for source types and claim checks, while a writing template asks for tone.
Both are correct for their family and useless for the other.
Better working habit
Match template design to task type.
Name the family at the top of each template, so picking the wrong one is a visible mistake.
What to watch for
Do not use a writing template for research verification.
It will produce something fluent about material nobody checked, which is the exact failure the research template exists to prevent.
Mini practice
Draft four small templates for four task categories.
Then write one line at the top of each saying what it is not for.
Check yourself
Before moving on, answer:
- Which family does this task belong to?
- Does this template carry that family's specific checks?
- Have I written what each template is not for?
