AI Tools for Everyday Work / Module 12

Module 12

Choose one everyday task

Unit ID: AIT-M12-U00 Estimated active time: 15-20 minutes

The main idea

The capstone should be useful, safe, and small enough to review.

All three constraints matter. A task that fails any one of them turns the capstone into an exercise rather than something you keep using.

Why this matters

Choosing well is most of the work. The wrong task cannot be rescued by effort later.

Safe example

A meeting follow-up, study checklist, document outline, or research support note.

Four good candidates: frequent, low-risk, and with an output someone actually reads.

Better working habit

Choose a low-risk task with no private data.

Frequency matters too. Something you do weekly repays the effort; something annual does not.

What to watch for

Do not choose legal, medical, financial, HR, or confidential tasks.

These carry accountability that cannot be delegated to a workflow, and they belong under Module 11's review triggers.

Mini practice

Select one capstone task and explain why it is suitable.

Name the frequency, the reader, and why the content is safe.

Check yourself

Before moving on, answer:

  • How often do I do this, and who reads the output?
  • Is any part of the content private or regulated?
  • Is this small enough that I can review the whole output?
