Aabha Statistics with Data Storytelling
Extract the ZIP and open index.html. Keep the folder together so charts and file links work. The guide works offline after extraction; external reference links need internet. Start with the syllabus, then study Lessons 1–12 in order. Attempt the separate workbook before opening the solutions.
Core route: a browser for reading, a calculator and a way to inspect CSV files. A spreadsheet is convenient but optional. There is no Python installation requirement for the narrative, worked arithmetic or interpretation assessments. Reference statistical outputs are supplied for methods that require distribution calculations.
Optional Python route: read SETUP.md. Exact versions and Linux execution evidence are provided. macOS and Windows instructions are written but have not been executed; browser layout, screen-reader behavior and a beginner pilot are not certified. See VALIDATION.md for the precise tested scope.
Main files:
- index.html: ordered narrative, syllabus, data dictionary and setup
- practice.html: 36 exercises, 18 checkpoint questions and staged capstone
- solutions.html: separate explained answers and reference capstone
- lessons/: 12 editable narrative lessons
- data/: three fictional CSVs and provenance notes
- tools/: deterministic generator, reference analysis, sampling demonstration and chart/guide builder
- learner_analysis.py and check_learner.py: optional learner-owned calculation starter and public arithmetic checks
- tests/: tests of the reference data and methods, not a grade of your analysis
- outputs/: reproducible reference results and validation evidence
- SOURCES.md: verified primary references and source-to-lesson map
The dataset has 240 fictional shipments and a separate 40-participant simulated randomized trial. The raw shipment export deliberately contains 248 rows to teach documented validation. No real people, customer records or business results are included.
This is a reviewable teaching package. Completion timings and grading thresholds are proposed instructional choices, not findings from a learner pilot. No publication or deployment has been performed.
